Andrew Kzirian Here - Welcome to TAQS.IM Premium!
Hi everyone - this is Andrew Kzirian. Wanted to take this opportunity to welcome you all to TAQS.IM's forums - Aram and I are super excited to launch the TAQS.IM premium community. We have tons of goodies in store that we can't wait to share with everybody, especially our instructional videos, which feature my instruction on the oud for beginners and enthusiasts alike. Please check out all of our pages and offerings, and don't forget to leave a brief introductory post yourselves so we can learn about each of you and your musical backgrounds and interests.
Hey everyone, I want to thank Andrew and Aram for putting this altogether. So many websites only contain portions of this information, to have it all condensed into one website with a community is just amazing! My background is Greek and Armenian, and I play play mostly Greek music. I am extremely excited to hear and learn things from an Armenian perspective on the oud. I am very interested in developing a deeper understanding of makam theory and application, as well as ear training to spot them when heard in songs. Looking forward to watching this place grow!
THIS IS A GREAT SIGHT GENTLEMAN...I'VE GONE THRU THE LESSONS SEVERAL TIMES WHICH MADE ME TAKE A CRITICAL LOOK AT MY TECHNIQUES. RIGHT THERE WAS WELL WORTH THE COURSE. THE CLARITY OF THE VIDEO IS EXCELLENT AND YOUR SPEAKING MANOR GIVES ONE THE THE FILLING YOU ARE TALKING DIRECTLY TO ME. EXCELLENT. ALSO, I'D LIKE TO SEE MORE ON THE CLOSE-UPS OF YOUR FINGERS RELATING TO THE NOTE PLACEMENT...NOT TO JUMP THE GUN HERE. WORKS WELL FOR ME...BE LOOKING FORWARD TO MORE...WELL DONE.
Thank you for the kind words.
It is inspiring for us here at TAQS.IM to read your message. The whole objective for us is to offer guidance and instruction, and also to provide value to seasoned and aspiring musicians alike. Very glad to hear the videos are helpful to you - duly noted regarding the close-ups and that is definitely part of the plan moving forward. We will be releasing more videos very soon and look forward to many more months and years of providing useful lessons! Please feel free to chime in with questions and/or comments as they arise.
Happy oud playing!
