  1. Yaser

Wow, I can now use all of my VST’s with Arabic Scales

  2. Spiros Kottis

MicroToner is such a useful program and is now a necessity for all of my projects.

For anyone who wants to use Microtoner with hardware MIDI synths and samplers, I can tell you from first-hand experience, it works!! You have to play your MIDI controller into your DAW and then into your hardware, but no big deal, since you already need to be recording anyway.

In Logic, just set up a new MIDI track using the external instrument plug-in, select Microtoner as a MIDI FX, set the MIDI output port + MIDI channel, and just like that, your synth is instantly re-tuned. Incredible!! Waldorf Pulse never sounded so good as it does now!

It’s all fantastic, as long as you don’t need to run scales of more than 12 pitches within the octave. Sadly, Microtoner offers but 12 tuneable keys. Don’t say you haven’t heard of more-than-12-scales in a number of world music idioms. What about extending it to 48 keys e.g.? Or more. This would mean adding a few more lines of code, the main transposer engine having already been best built.

It is a life changing instrument!! the best idea ever!!

As a non-commercial and experimental musician, I also like to use microtonal scales.
Unfortunately, these are only supported by a few plugins.
An idea that is as simple as it is brilliant is to use pitch bend to play Arabic scales, for example.
With MicroToner I can now finally use all of my beloved VSTs for this.
    Thank you TAQS.IM!

Microtoner is a game-changer and an innovative solution for solving Micro-Tuning problems with software-based instruments even those who already have Micro-Tuning but also have many problems and are inaccurate especially when playing with the Portamento settings. Many of the “well-established” software instruments have not addressed this issue even after many years. It’s nice to have MicroToner on IOS (iPad) and integration with many major apps such as AUM and the AU3. Thank you and keep creating wonderful solutions.

Great addition to my collection of plugins! And answers to questions is extremely rapid and very kind!

    This is priceless!
It can come across as a simple fix but it isn’t at the same time! The system makes it so easy to tweak whichever notes you want and boom! You got your scale!
Plus… in addition to what it’s meant to do… you get pre-made scales! How awesome is that? To learn or explore other scales we might not know! That’s just awesome to music lovers!
NO hesitation buying this. It’s a no-brainer and HIGHLY recommend it to anyone really! Beginners or experts!

I wish I could easily insert this ahead of virtual instruments without having to scan them and wrap them inside.

  13. Haymo (verified owner)

Great plugin! Makes a lot of sounds much more authentic.

  14. Sheldon Tam (verified owner)

Great product., but only support vst3. Even better to support vst2 as well.

  15. Stephanie Gauthier (verified owner)

This product is really useful and allows to tune the twelve tones of the scale individually. Also, it works flawlessly with the D.A.W. Digital Performer 11 as an instrument plugin. (Digital Performer is a great D.A.W. by the way.) The one thing to keep in mind is that if your Mod Wheel is set to control something other than pitch, obviously then, the pitch won’t be affected by the changes made in MicroToner. For example, in some Spitfire libraries the Mod wheel by default controls a parameter other than pitch. Overall, I highly recommend MicroToner!
